Who can play
WikiStars is intended for adults aged 18 and over. By playing, you agree to these terms and the Community Rules.
Playtest
This version is an offline, single-player playtest. Auctions simulate other players. There are no purchases or real-money prizes. Cards and game coins have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money. Playtest progress and features may change or be reset in later builds.
Fair use
Do not exploit bugs, automate play or manipulate Wikipedia to affect cards. Encyclopedic content may be incomplete or inaccurate; it is not professional advice.
Content and licences
Wikipedia-derived text is available under CC BY-SA 4.0. Image licences and credits are shown with each card, with further information in About & credits. These terms do not limit your rights under those licences.
Community Rules
Respect people
Do not use display names or support messages to harass, threaten, impersonate or discriminate against anyone. Do not share another person's private information.
Respect Wikipedia
Do not edit articles, change images or inflate page views to influence cards. Card data is computed offline, and a card's appearance and stats are fixed when it is minted.
Report problems
Use the help form to report bugs, harmful content, inaccurate text or missing credits. Include the card title and a short description so the issue can be investigated. Do not exploit or encourage abuse of a bug.
About & credits
Text
Card text taken from Wikipedia is available under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 licence (CC BY-SA 4.0). Each card links to its source article and the list of its contributors. Wikipedia-derived text in this game, including quiz questions in future versions, is shared under the same licence.
Read the CC BY-SA 4.0 licence.
Images
Card photos come only from Wikimedia Commons under free licences, credited one by one on each card. Living people are never shown in photos. Cards without a free image use original illustrations.
Data
Rarity comes from how often an article is read (public Wikimedia page view data, with bot traffic removed); attack comes from article length. All of it is computed offline from public data dumps; the game never queries Wikipedia while you play.
For inaccurate text, missing credits or rights concerns, see content requests.
